Hi, I’m Sasha! I’m currently enrolled in the SEO Tools & Analytics course at UC San Diego (UCSD), where I’m developing practical skills that will guide my future career in digital marketing. This course has been especially rewarding because I’m not just learning concepts in theory—I’m applying them directly on a practice website, where I can see the impact of SEO and analytics in real time.
Through this project, I’ve gained hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, including:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) for organizing and managing tracking tags efficiently.
- Google Search Console (GSC) for monitoring keyword performance, site indexing, and visibility in search results.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for understanding user behavior, tracking conversions, and analyzing engagement trends.
- Looker Studio for building clear, data-driven dashboards that communicate results effectively.
Working on the practice website has given me a deeper appreciation for how these tools work together to tell a complete story. From identifying which keywords bring traffic, to analyzing how visitors interact with a page, to presenting that data in a way that drives better business decisions—I’ve learned that analytics are at the heart of every successful digital marketing strategy.
Looking ahead, my goal is to use these skills in a career focused on SEO and digital marketing strategy. I want to help businesses grow their online presence by turning data into actionable insights—whether that means uncovering new content opportunities, improving technical site health, or refining campaigns for better results.
This course has given me the perfect foundation, blending analytics, creativity, and strategy. With the practice website as my training ground, I feel ready to bring this knowledge into real-world projects and continue building a career where I can make a measurable impact in digital marketing.
